Description

#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER • NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE • The classic story that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide: a tragically wounded soul, the man called to marry her, and the only love that heals all.

“A literary masterpiece, reminding us that God’s love is unconditional.”—Debbie Macomber

California’s gold country, 1850. A time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep.

Angel expects nothing from men but betrayal. Sold into prostitution as a child, she survives by keeping her hatred alive. And what she hates most are the men who use her, leaving her empty and dead inside.

Then she meets Michael Hosea, a man who seeks his Father’s heart in everything. Michael obeys God’s call to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel’s every bitter expectation, until despite her resistance, her frozen heart begins to thaw.

But with her unexpected softening comes overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. And so Angel runs. Back to the darkness, away from her husband’s pursuing love, terrified of the truth she no longer can deny: her final healing must come from the One who loves her even more than Michael does . . . the One who will never let her go.

A powerful retelling of the story of Gomer and Hosea, Redeeming Love is a life-changing story of God’s unconditional, redemptive, all-consuming love.

I have read soo many books and I love a good romance. I turned into some dark reading and when I finally got control over myself, I searched for religious books instead. This is the first book on this new path I’ve read after reading the New Testament. I have never read a better romance book. Seriously, it is written with many perspectives and how God works in so many lives at once and how sometimes the road to his righteousness takes a long time with some failures. And even if you fall, He picks you up again. This book is about trusting God’s word, how to pray and rely on his voice, how to forgive, how to love, how to not be judgmental, and so much more. I could go on for days. Well done!

This book was an absolute pleasure to read. The writing is engaging, the pacing flows smoothly, and the insights are both thought-provoking and practical. It kept me turning the pages, and I found myself learning, reflecting, and enjoying every chapter. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and worthwhile read.

I loved the writing and the authors way of making the story come alive. You truly knew the characters and felt their joy and sadness. I also liked for a romance story, it wasn’t too steamy, but it really gave you a great picture in so many words that was the perfect amount. I fell more in love with our creator through reading this book.

I got so attached to the characters in Redeeming Love that I have read the book three times! I would love it if Francine Rivers would write a sequel about their children.

I never expected to love this book so much. The characters were complex and story line riveting. The Bible references and quotes were definitely not over the top but rather informed Michael's motivations and actions. Having studied mid 19th century history, it's quite believable. ( my only critique is the clothing descriptions are very inaccurate). The story line deals with sex trafficking, learning to trust again after years of abuse and the patience required to assist someone through this ordeal. I could NOT put it down.

This book grandly portrays the depth…the profoundness of GOD’S LOVE… it reaches to the highest mountain and it flows to the lowest valley. It heals, it restores it… it’s not a respecter of person. What a read! May this book continue to be a blessing… BEHOLD WHAT MANNER OF LOVE THE FATHER HAS GIVEN UNTO US THAT WE MAY BE CALLED HIS SONS 🥹🙌🏽

Beautifully written yet very simplistic. When you take the time to reflect on Angel’s story you realize that even though you may have gone through something different, a lot of us struggle with shame and it keeps us bound to our past and incapable of moving forward into the promises of God. This story beautifully reveals God’s unconditional love for us and how he will never leave us despite when we choose to leave him.
